Opti-Users' Newsletters: January 8th, 2007 Status of Optimation®Optimation® has gained significant strength in 2006. We want to thank each of you for our success. 
Our business strategy and technology advancement has placed us as the technology and financial leader of our industry. With the release of our new nesting engine AxiomVE™, we will obsolete all previous nesting technologies. Our competitors are already in a poor position, and our new technology will greatly lengthen Optimation®'s lead.
AxiomVE™ Included 
AxiomVE™ is not a new version of Axiom™ but a whole new nesting technology. This new technology is free of charge to our Maintenance customers.The VE in AxiomVE™ stands for Vision Emulation™. 
Vision Emulation™ is one of two new nesting technologies built into AxiomVE™ that obsoletes all previous nesting engines. AxiomVE™ has the ability to see the shape of parts and see complex shapes created by parts placed on the raw material. While old technologies fumble around in the dark, AxiomVE™ can literally see the shape of the part and the area where the part will fit. This new expert technology allows for dramatic improvements in material efficiency.The second new technology in AxiomVE™ is MDCN or Multi-Dimensional Combinatorial Nesting. MDCN is a proprietary trade secret of Optimation®. This new technology is an expert system that determines what combination of parts should be nested together to produce an Optimal Production Plan. This new technology is so powerful that all of the complex interactive decisions that effect cost are considered. 
AxiomVE™ is in beta testing currently and is scheduled for release in April during our Users Conference. Plan to attend the Users Conference and get more details about this powerful new technology.
Policy to Maximize Value for Maintenance Customers We are maximizing the value 
we deliver to our Maintenance Customers by providing all new nesting technology at no additional charge. AxiomVE™ and our new Excel Summary system are two examples of this new policy. We are also adding new resources to help Maintenance Customers maximize their installation efficiency and reduce their cost.
