New at Optimation^®

New Features:

Optimation announces the release of Version O0901A, available as free upgrade for maintenance customers. This new release is packed with cost cutting and time saving features.

• Common Punching:
  AxiomVE^™(nesting software) has been enhanced to allow common punching. This feature improves material utilization and reduces the number of hits thus reducing machine process time and wear-and-tear on the machine and tooling.

  When parts are common-punched together, duplicate hits are removed. Depending on the link order, punch hits and tabs are retained for one part and removed from the other.

• Edge Starting:
  EDGE (Edge-Starting) on the LINK menu adds a cutting path that starts in the kerf of an already cut part and goes to the lead-in of another part (kerf compensation). The advantage of this is that it reduces the number of times the cutting head must pierce the material. The edge-starts can be added automatically or manually.

• Nesting on Irregular Plates with Cutouts:
  AxiomVE^™ irregular plate nesting capabilities have been enhanced to allow nesting on irregular material shapes containing holes. AxiomVE^™ will "nest around" the holes in the irregular material.

• Router - Duplicate Path Generation:
  The duplicate path generation feature adds additional passes to selected tool paths.

• Crosshair Destruction - Available for all Contour Processes:
  The scrap created by each closed, non-tabbed internal tool path that meets the criteria specified by the related parameters will be destructed in a crosshair pattern. This allows internal scrap to be cut into pieces small enough to be vacuumed away or fall through grids.

• Maintain Final Cut for Punch-Contour, Nesting beneath the Clamps, and Offloading:
  The lead-out location for punch-contour processes is often critical due to offloading requirements. If a tool path must be broken due to repositioning, this logic will ensure the lead-out location is maintained. This feature has the capability of adding additional breaks, repositions, or even a backwards reposition in order to maintain the required lead-out location.
